Sales
Job Duties:
Assist clients with selection, planning, estimating, pricing, product specification, and value engineering for complex projects.
Prepare detailed bid proposals under a short time frame.
Work closely with other team members throughout the course of a project to ensure a successful installation (estimators, project coordinators, install managers and field supervisors).
Continually develop and maintain a project backlog for the company.
Visit job sites when required for pre-project meetings and to ensure proper installation of product.
Negotiate and price any change orders to the original contract value.
Grow and build long-term client relationships in order to maintain and grow company sales
This position requires continuous business development, which can often take place outside of normal work hours.
Candidate will pursue sales opportunities focusing on the Columbia, MD area.
Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college
Must have 3-5 years sales experience in floor covering or other goods and services provided to General Contractors
Must have a valid driver’s license
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal
Must be able to work under pressure and within predetermined deadlines
Must possess strong follow-up skills and attention to detail
Must be professional and outgoing
Must excel in competitive and dynamic sales environment
Needs to be self-motivated and possess the ability to multitask
Experience working in a commission-based sales structure
